We scope every project carefully before providing a quote and do not start development until scope, timeline, and budget are agreed in writing. If the numbers do not make financial sense, we will tell you before you commit to anything.
How long does a typical custom software project take?
Simple integrations and automation projects can often complete in two to four weeks. More complex applications typically take two to four months from kickoff to deployment. The most common cause of delays is unclear or changing requirements — we invest heavily in the discovery and scoping phase to minimize mid-project surprises, and we build in regular demos so you can provide feedback throughout development.
What happens after the software is built? Who maintains it?
Ongoing support and maintenance is built into every engagement. Software needs updates as operating systems evolve, as integrated platforms change their APIs, and as your business needs change. We provide ongoing support for everything we build — bug fixes, minor enhancements, and compatibility updates. For clients on a full managed IT agreement, this support is typically included or available at a reduced rate.
Can you integrate our existing software systems with each other?
Yes — and system integration is one of the most common projects we take on. Before scoping a custom integration, we always check whether an off-the-shelf tool — Zapier, Make, Power Automate — already handles the connection. If it does, we use that instead. If it does not, or if the volume or complexity requires something more robust, we build it. We are not interested in building custom what should be configured off-the-shelf.
